After earning a degree in Foreign Languages, Bertoia spent some time living around the world. First in Florida, USA, then Toronto, Canada, then Nice, France. Later, he returned home as a college student again, studying International and Diplomatic Sciences. Two years later, he realized a deep desire to pursue acting. In every chance he got, he would study the craft, while auditioning. In that same summer, he was cast in a lead role in the American feature film, A Venetian Dream. In this film directed by Cathy Beasley, he would star opposite such actors as Anne Leigh Cooper. It was a turn of events Bertoia fondly remembers as "a miracle." After winning a green card in a lottery, Bertoia was lucky to have colleagues who encouraged him to pursue his dream in the United States. Bertoia then moved to NYC where he studied at the William Esper Studio. He's since kept himself busy, actively studying and auditioning in the effort to continue honing his craft, and building his career. He has already landed roles in films like Diabolik, Oh Black Jesus. Bertoia aspires to someday work with the likes of David Lynch, Terrence Malik, David Fincher, Darren Aronovsky and Asghar Farhadi.
