Jon grew up in Mineral Springs, Arkansas in somewhat of a military family: his father was killed in South Vietnam but it was to have an impact on the rest of his life. He moved to Los Angeles not long after college where he studied acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory under Stella Adler, Arthur Mendoza, Milton Justice and Joanne Linville. He continued his studies with Joanne Linville independently for several years after leaving the Conservatory.Though the big break didn't come like it did for his school mates, Mark Ruffalo and Benecio Del Toro, he was cast in the lead role as Kid in Thomas Babe's rock-n-roll drama Kid Champion. Joe Pesci produced with Peter Conte directing this West Coast premier of the play originally starring Christopher Walken as Kid in the East Coast production.Jon has continued to perform in and originate numerous theatrical productions as well as acting alongside such icons as Willie Nelson, Michael Madsen, Lee Majors, and Mark Ruffalo in a number of independent films.
